I’d challenge the author to attempt to discuss topics related to toxic female radicalization on mainstream social media to see the reason.
I feel like the closest I can think of is something like the tradeife shit. But that’s more an extension of christo-fascism and patriarchy than anything else.
Skim the comments in Female Dating Strategy on Reddit and you’ll find a lot of them.
The users using terms like ‘pickme’ for women and ‘scrotes’ for men. Misandry in various forms. Often you’ll see a lot of TERF language or open transphobia and disdain for people who are in relationships, etc.
Like with incels there’s the ‘high value man/woman’ fantasy that’s an amalgamation of perfect traits that the various people in their life have failed to meet and the ‘It’s other people’s fault for not meeting my standards that’s why I’m single and not my own toxic behavior and actions’ coping mechanism.
They have their own private forums and communities which are a bit more out there if you can get past the gatekeepers and mods.

Criticizing men is a must, and a duty.
Criticizing women is misogyny.
Women are very well insulated from responsibility and the consequences of their own actions. One needs to only look at many of the “male crimes” that they hoist and froth over to see this in action. For example:
- 71% of nonreciprocal domestic violence is women beating up men
- Many police precincts are forced to use the Duluth Model, which frames men as the only possible aggressor
- Many police precincts still use software where the DV perps are hard-coded as male, and the victim as female, which allows the charges against female perps to be more easily thrown out on technicalities.
- I have seen attestations from police where unwritten rules existed that forbid them from arresting women to avoid political blowback, and forced them to arrest the men, even if they were being carried out on a stretcher by EMS.
- Women rape men as frequently as men rape women
- It took the FBI until 2015 to even begin collecting stats on women-on-man rapes because before that they refused to categorize that as rape.
- As above, many police precincts cannot even record a rape victim as male, due to how the victim’s gender is hard-coded, and most police won’t even try to record the crime because the process requires them to conduct a female rape kit - which a male victim cannot satisfy.

Honestly, I have poked my nose into some femcel groups on places like Reddit, and those groups would make the incel subreddits look like rank amateurs where gender bigotry is concerned. Men have nothing on women when it comes to hating the opposite gender. They are so far behind the curve that women are blazing that I’m shocked they’re even a going concern.
And this is across the entire population, and not just among femcels - there are three times as many women under 30 hating men as men under 30 hating women.
As I tell people all the time, misandry is just the other side of the patriarchy coin - opposite to misogyny.
Both seek the same thing: the subjugation and humiliation of those who do not follow the national model of having children, ending up in debt and hating each other for the years the child needs attention - until neglect and generational trauma sets in.
This in turn leads to neglected children, leads to incels, femcels, the loneliness pandemic, divide and conquer, serving the masters and the oppressive system.
“Deadbeat dads” are a perfect example of this, where men who obviously weren’t ready to become a parent, is put in a position that will make their lives worse.
People always forget that abortion - at least in sane places - is the mothers choice, and courts will in most cases all over the world favor the mother - in order to cover the cost by making the man a debt slave of convenience, so that the ruling class can have more workers, more soldiers, more neglected children.
Then, when these men spiral out of control, either by pressure or suffering emotional and psychological abuse, we get to uphold this tradition by making an example of the man.
The western world has been doing this for ages, because men traditionally had monopoly on physical and political violence, which meant women had to become really good at emotional and social violence.
But we don’t qualify those things as violence, or else plenty of think tanks, media engines and politicians would be found guilty - and so we hide it behind “freedom of speech” - a.k.a freedumb.
That being said, there’s the gender pay gap, pink tax, social dogma and beauty standards, girls and women across the world being subjugated by systems that do actively target women’s rights, forcibly circumcize them in order to subjugate them under even more brutal patriarchal systems.
But in all these systems, it’s about the subjugation and comodification of humans. Women aren’t exempt of being victimized by it, but neither are the men - unless you are filthy stinking rich.

The only truly sane option are abortion rights for all… including men. It’s called a paper abortion.
And before anyone goes clutching their pearls and asking “what about the child?”, the only possible response is – WHAT CHILD?? The “child” is a fetus within the first trimester, it has no needs beyond what the mother’s body is providing it. There is nothing to support until at least six months after the man has that opportunity to “abort”.
And if the woman wants that child, she then has the opportunity to decide if she wants it without a legally-coerced ATM.
Paper abortions are truly equal rights made manifest, providing to the man all the same rights to “abort” as the woman does, at least from a legal perspective. Because all any kind of abortion is, is the ability to no longer have any responsibility over the fetus. The only thing a woman’s abortion adds is the physical removal of the fetus.

A fair minority were, but the legal systems in many areas are not designed to let them be a father once the woman decided that the relationship was over.
That when the woman is treated by the legal system as the “presumed caregiver”, the best option that most men have - that does not lead to life-long poverty as an ATM, or serious psychological damage, or both - is to just walk away.
So I appreciate the olive branch, but the details are a lot more ugly and less simple than what you broached.

The truth is that when you take into account the career chosen, the specialties acquired, the hours worked, the overtime accepted, the riskiness of the work conducted and the willingness to work on-call, the actual “wage gap” falls to between 0% and 3%, depending on industry examined.

Finally, Google was charged with underpaying women, yet when they investigated in 2019, the vast majority of “gender pay gaps” they found were men being underpaid. Not women. Men.

It’s why two women at a fancy/prestigious public event will have meltdowns because they’re wearing the same dress - as in, economizing because they chose a male that’s too poor to provision her a unique dress - yet not a single man will give a single shit about two women wearing the same dress, and they themselves will be wearing highly similar if not identical suits and tuxedoes.
In reality, a large proportion men are either ambivalent about makeup or even dislike extensive makeup. It’s why almost all apps that strip away makeup in videos and photos were developed by men as a tool to see the real woman underneath. It’s why “catfishing” is nearly always a woman-on-man deception.

Include that, include all of the child fighters across the many guerrilla conflicts currently in play, include the men sent to fight on very real threats of long incarceration or even summary execution, and men would make up 90-95% of the victims.
Women don’t hold an edge on being actual victims, as much as the ideology of mainstream feminists/female-supremacists need it to be. A good chunk of their “victimizations” are either based on statistical lies or are outright self-inflicted.

I’m just going to address the gender gap issues, because where as your take is anecdotal, we go by actual investigation into the matter - that being unions. Unions consistently find from new members that women get paid less for the same job. They can even be more qualified. They publish these statistics fairly frequently - at least my local unions do, and we can compare them to other unions. You can call that “fake statistics” if you want, but fuck if I trust some belligerent rando on Lemmy more than people actually working for the average workers rights.
Also, i am against circumcizing of children generally - because that’s a decision they should make later in life - and I’m not trying to downplay male circumsission, but holy fuck: do you know how they circumcize girls? Do you know what damage that is comparatively speaking? Men can take circumcission for medical purposes, like having too much foreskin, but there is NO medical reason for what they do to girls. You not knowing that speaks volumes to your ignorance.
