Sekiro man, what a ride…Celebratory wine is blowing this way out of proportion though XD. buut, my past self didn’t think I had it in me so… Yay.

Fucking great game, the difficulty needs some serious demystifying… It was not nearly as tough as I expected. That said, this felt sorta like a trial run…

Here’s to the completed playthrough, and many more to come, cheers!

An additional note:

I bursted out laughing during final boss phase two, I seriously thought the

was a community joke! XD

Congrats! Sekiro was very difficult for me to get into, but just in the last few months have I nearly mastered it. Def a top3 favorite From game

I was a Bloodborne nut, and given their very different fighting styles – with Sekiro making the much tighter parry mechanic your primary form of defense, a major source of offense, and drastically cutting i-frames on dodging – it made the transition very difficult. But now I have a much different play style in general, tempered by about 300 hours of Nightreign Executor, and came to Sekiro very naturally.

Now try a charmless run :)

Fellow executor main! Thank you ! I’ve become somewhat of a parry junkie in the last 8 months or so. Lies of P and Nightreign gave me the push to finally try Sekiro and I’m so glad I did, it’s an incredibly elegant game in every way and undobtedly one of FS best.

Hell yeah! My first play through of Sekiro was tough! But then I got absolutely hooked on Executor, he was the only character I wanted to play when he was hands down the worst nightfarer. But Deep of Night was impossible to get passed like D2 for me, but I had developed a really fun status tank play style, and seppuku does buff him somewhere in the neighborhood of viability.

The balance buff was out of this world though. Overnight went from like the worst to the best, and then double balancer build made suncatcher like ridiculously powerful. It doesn’t even have to be charged up you can basically just spam L2 to win lol.

I took a break to play Sekiro and haven’t gotten back into NR but a few times.

But yes ive also become a parry junkie lol. Lies of P has good parry mechanics? I haven’t played it yet, and don’t really know much about it

Dude Lies of P is really really good, I definitely recommend it if you are craving more parrying. The timings are tighter than in sekiro, but you are meant to combine perfect blocks and dodges.

You have the instant L1 block, but a couple of weapons also have different type of delayed parry baked in (with different delays and / follow up). There is also an interesting weapon customization mechanic that lets you modify a weapons moveset and pick and choose what you like to fit your playstyle and build. I didn’t play too much with this but you can make cool stuff. and much like in sekiro you get a customizable arm that can be offensive or defensive.

It has awesome boss fights, excellent music, and the story is a very creative adaptation of the pinocchio fairytale. The main downside for me is that the game is super linear with almost no exploration. Some sections are a bit too long, (The game in general is much much longer than sekiro,)

All in all, I loved the game. :)

Cool! Let me know if you get to try it out. Are you in the discord? Maybe we can link up and run the dungeon together

Why won’t LoP ever drop in price though? I just picked up Clair Obscura 33 or whatever it’s called and it was like 20% off. Which like, hell yeah, but the games I really want never go on sale, and From games and Monster Hunter are the only games I’ll buy on release, maybe the new ff7 part 2.

(っ-ᯅ-ς) try what out? The charmless run? I’m on console so I can’t do cool mod shit. Or were you refering to Depth of night? I’m not on the discord but I’m on the matrix room :P

I meant the dungeon, but yeah I realized that I was talking about a bunch of different stuff.
