    “caused by AI”

If I ask AI how to make coffee for a person, and the AI temperature is set high, and it tells me to add cyanide, I would not suggest that the person’s death was “caused by AI.”

I would be responsible for how i act without thinking or double checking on whether or not the AI was confabulating or offering information that could be externally verified.

Stop yelling at computers when the actual reason is either murderous intent or murderous incompetence.

Accountability for the people in charge.

Great power should come with great accountability, not freedom from accountability.

That’s why they want to offload the trigger/button to the AI as well…

They don’t want AI to give a human a target to hit. They want the AI to do it start to finish, because the AI will do anything they tell it to.

It’s real fucking hard to get an army to fire on its own citizens, for AI controlled systems, you just change a designation to “hostile”.

They’re gambling that they get to be feudal lords, so they’re knowingly risking the chance they lose control of the AI weapons systems later.

This kind of greed will never be satiated, they’ll never have enough that they stop taking these risks, and the more wealth they hoard the bigger risks they can personally afford to take. They don’t give a fuck about our odds.

That’s true, guns don’t. Availability of guns do, and the people that make that availability possible are responsible.

Same with AI, the responsibility lies on the ones that decide to use it.
