About languagejones’ recent video.
I knew languagejones was a right bastard for a long time. Used to like him and even read some of his linguistics research and found it interesting enough, started to grow wary after his video about “what the woke left gets wrong about pronouns”, then even more wary when he said some crap about “tankies” in a video about Yiddish, then suddenly I was noticing more Zionist flags and stuff and determined he was a Zionist and unsubscribed. This was ages ago at this point, many months or maybe over a year ago, I can’t remember.
Apparently the rabbit hole goes way further down than I realized. I haven’t seen BadEmpanada’s video because I don’t think I could stand listening to languagejones’ voice bullshitting for an hour, but I have read some of the top comments under BadEmpanada’s video, and they’re telling me that languagejones is apparently a Jewish convert who works for a consulting firm that mainly works with the Septic military. I’d tell him to go eat my ass, but I’d rather that be done by someone I actually like.

I just finished the video and I thought it was very good. This may be a personal bias, but I didn’t like the mockery of LJ being Jewish by choice, though I suppose there is some relevancy if someone makes that decision and immediately jumps into fire-breathing hasbara.
