Something I love about the plazas for some of the older buildings in New York is this extra decoration. A sculpture, or some seating, a few trees, etc. Gives the city some character and allows some space for a food vendor.

Light sculpture? Sounds like it might be really cool at night…
Huh, is that what that meant? I couldn’t find shots of it at night, but then, NYC has a weirdly high number of ‘ball’ sculptures. This one is pleasant:
