It happens! All a part of growing up an owl though. I like when I get pics of them hanging upside down due to some miscalculation.

It’s good owl babies are blessed with a low terminal velocity and their cartoonish flapping while falling has at least some effect as well.

I really liked this one too!

Usually I’m not into the narrow depth of field because I like to look at everything, but it really made the fledgling the star of the shot.
