I appreciate this very much. lI’ve heard a lot of noise about “they need to DO something” but it’s never clear what that might be. We need to be articulate.
Commenting “the dems need to [verb]” is much more productive since it gives others a way to rally around your cause and join in. Screaming “do something” makes everyone say “well yeah” and then move on.
They should have a rotating cast of congressman visiting every single facility every day until Trump dies
DHS’ new guidance states that “ICE field offices are not detention facilities and fall outside of the Sec. 527 requirements. ICE does not house aliens at field offices.”
Ok, got it, so these are not detention facilities.
In their letter, the lawmakers take issue with this assertion. They say that ICE Deputy Field Director Bill Joyce recently confirmed that some individuals have been held at 26 Federal Plaza for multiple days.
