They talk all about “efficiency” as their reason for downsizing, but never consider just supporting full-time remote as an option and pay less in electricity and office supplies, and in turn society benefits from less valuable real estate by cheaper rents and affordable housing.

I bet I can guess who the exceptions are.
Love that most of these companies downsized over the past few years and literally won’t have enough space for their employees. This is just a way to couch layoffs.
