Cyberdyne Systems, Wayland-Yutani Corporation, Tyrell Corporation, or Arasaka Corporation? Something else?
In Canada we already have Power Corporation (what a name), they’ve owned our Prime Ministers for decades

We already have Palantir Corp
Microsoft has had several country govt’s dependent on their software for decades now (mostly Windows and Office, but also Azure lately). They were also deemed “not that bad, actually” by the courts for their 1990’s fuckery, so I’d say they’re the first dystopic megacorp we got.
Now everything is office365 and onedrive
Well, the rise of the megacorps came after The War Against Terror (TWAT) but we don’t really like to recall such vulgar beginnings.
The rise of the megacorps was in the late 19th century as imperialism, otherwise known as “monopoly capitalism” or the Highest Stage of Capitalism.
The stage we’re in now is a further advancement known as neocolonialism, which began in the mid-20th century. You might say that neoliberalism and the rise of neoclassical economic hegemony are closely related to neocolonialism.
Just dropping that here https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/jd-vance-elon-musk-x-twitter-donald-trump-b2614525.html
Fuck you Elon
Get? We already have plenty. Nestle is a good contender with plenty of blood on their hands.
Yeah I don’t think people realize how little choice we already have. Groceries? There’s only a few in your area, many of them are owned by the same conglomerate. Cars? Most are co owned. Hotels, food, every industry is owned and co owned with multiple levels.
As George Carlin said, this country was bought and paid for a long time ago.
Ah, George Carlin. Rip the homey.
There’s also Unilever and Pepsico and their several brands to make people think there’s a choice
Google?
