Fuck the liberal hegemonic order. Even if a liberal hegemony is theoretically “better” or “preferable” to other hypothetical hegemonic orders, that is not a justification for the existence of hegemony itself. Many of us who want to see the liberal hegemonic order abolished want that not because we want to see it replaced with another hegemonic order (like, for instance, a Marxist-Leninist/Maoist hegemonic order), but because we want hegemony itself abolished, and replaced with a democratic order, in which the nations of the world collaborate, cooperate, and strive for peaceful coexistence.

Yeah, but what are the chances, the “liberal hegemonic order” will be replaced by anything less repressive and authoritarian? Do you think a world dominated by Russia and China will be better?

        Exactly.

In fact, what’s more likely to happen is that China and Russia go to war to pick the next top dog.

Like I said, I want hegemony itself to be abolished and replaced with a democratic order. I don’t want a world dominated by any nation. I want the order based on domination to be replaced with an order based on democracy.

I have no idea. It might not even be possible. I simply wanted to clarify what it is people like me desire for the world.

I mean, I agree in principle. I just don’t see how this position translates into anything actionable.

I am not a leader or strategist. I wouldn’t know how to begin to construct the plan necessary to achieve what I’ve outlined, assuming such a plan could ever actually exist.

What’s is a “liberal hegemonic order”? Because what we already had was a democracy, and we were making grassroots efforts to make it better. Was it perfect? Fuck no, but at least we had a chance to make things better. States were brining in Ranked Choice Voting, other states were enshrining human rights where it wasn’t always guaranteed. Smashing it all down and starting over with a Christo-fascist authoritarian government is about the dumbest way to “collaborate, cooperate, and strive for peaceful coexistence.” We’re about to get the Christian Taliban with the most powerful military in the world backing it. Trump is about to give our government officials purity tests and will throw out anyone that doesn’t swear to him (literally per P2025), and he’s going to be stacking the government with lackeys. We’re on track for Nazism 2.0.

Blackwater changed it’s name to Academi recently.

The same people are there and they’ve got a much better plan in place than you do.

If the current system collapses, they’re going to be ready with specific plans and the money to make them happen.

You guys couldn’t outthink the DNC and the DNC is much weaker than Balckwater.

Yes, I am reminded nearly daily of why a better world is likely not possible. I was simply clarifying my position. I want liberals to understand our desires, I’m not necessarily predicting what will or can happen.

          Well, here’s a wild idea.

Look up one Jerry Falwell. He wanted to take over the Republican Party and get them to do what he wanted. He started small and smart. Every local political party, D or R, does small events to make choices. Who is going to be the next county clerk or sheriff? Who is going to be our delegate to the next convention? If the usual attendance was twenty people, Falwell’s folks would show up with fifty. Eventually all those county clerks turned into Congress members, and then Senators.

You local Dem committee is probably in shock right now. Fifty new folks coming in could bulldoze them.

Don’t patronize me. I’m not a child. I understand my ideals are likely unrealistic and unachievable. I’m not a revolutionary leader, and I don’t claim to be. I was just trying to explain my ideal.
