It is an anthology series. I don’t know if people expected it to have something to do with S1. Really, anything after S1 wasn’t going to do well, S1 was one of the best shows ever. However, I do guess that anthologies were still pretty rare back then.

I’d agree. Both were good seasons. Season 2 sucked. Season 1 was peak golden age of TV.
I think that if they’d put out Season 2 with a completely different name it would have been well received.
Season 2 had nothing to do with Season 1, but we all thought it would.
