    Most of my jobs have been mostly male and I can count on one hand the number of guys I worked with who tried to chat up women while we were working.

    If you don't have a lot of freezer space, go buy one. You can get a model that holds a lot of food and is the same side as a kitchen chair. Costs about the same as a week's worth of pizzas.

    It takes the same amount of time to cook ten portions as it does to cook one. I like to make a huge pot of chili or stew or soup and freeze it in pint size containers. Five minutes to cook in the microwave. A big pan of lasagna will give you a dozen meals. Or you can cook a whole roast chicken on Sunday and eat it all week. Chicken and rice on Sunday, chicken tacos on Monday, green salad with chicken on Tuesday...

    First, I think it will be glorious when people finally realize they've been had. Lincoln said you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. MTG is already ahead of the curve and getting her axe ready.

    Second, there used to be a course called 'Civics' that every high school student learned. You were taught the Constitution, the history of how the different Parties formed, and got a basic understanding of the mechanics of how elections worked. They started phasing that out during the Reagan era, because of course they did.

  • The GOP doubling down on Trump would actually be the best thing we could hope for.

    Most people don't bother to vote. If it comes down to having a President who is a know pedophile a lot of them are actually going to get off their butts and waddle down to the polls.

    Look at Watergate Era. The GOP made it all about Nixon personally. They pushed him out, but kept all his ideas. This time we have to make sure the whole Republican Party is tied to Trump.

    Back around 1970 he wrote "Future Shock."

    His premise was that the coming Digital Era would be a massive change from the Industrial Era. Many people couldn't/wouldn't want to adapt themselves to the new reality. They'd find themselves working harder and harder to maintain the illusion that society was still the same.
