Were you a great soprano as a kid? Or some other reason?
Yeah, I used to be able to sing before puberty fucked me up :(
Also I don’t like what testosterone did to me in other ways

Castrato roles in operas are almost but not quite impossible to hire for. It seems like a very niche set of singers still specialize in the roles. I saw one this summer, and it was amazing. It was unlike any other singing I’ve ever heard.
