That's the point. It doesn't matter how many middle layers there are, if you're using a web browser, there are hundreds of pieces of information that can still be used to uniquely identify you. Do you have WebGL enabled? If so, you could be identified with 100 constantly changing proxies.
Stalin disappeared thousands of people. Tiger Stalin "disappeared" a few, but there was no hiding it, the pile of intestines and bones was a dead giveaway.
It's a beautiful statement. He wanted to clarify that it wasn't Clinton as to "not implicate anyone innocent", implying that if Trump didn't actually blow someone and/or Putin didn't have evidence of it, he would have made that very clear.
Make no mistake; the people selling server time will be making money. They are selling a real product to a real customer, it's just the customer is a tech company that will never make money back in turn.
Intelligent people are worried about the blackmail context of the emails, but intelligent people never supported Trump, so this is just another reason to hate him and a new reason to be worried. Among Trump's core supporters, homophobia is a critical issue, it has always been a major topic for the Trump admin. Previously the Epstein files were just about pedophilia, and conservative states have always taken a softer stance on the topic with things like child marriage.
There may be more important things to the story, but where voters can be swayed, the big story is "Trump did something gay."
This was my exact reaction when Ubisoft shut down the servers for The Crew, and people actually reimplemented the game server to bring it back. Of all thr racing games in the world, I had no idea anyone played more than 30 minutes of The Crew.
Half Life 2 was about 5 years too early to be considered "basically beyond imptovement". The graphics are a little dated now, and maybe the gameplay is a little simpler than a modern FPS, but ultimately it's pretty close to the mark. I haven't been surprised by FPS mechanics or graphics in 10 years, so there's basically no way for Half Life 3 to surprise us. Dishonored 1 and 2 were basically identical. If you told me the second one came out immediately after, I'd believe you.
Dishonored nailed a neat trick: If every game dev stops innovating immediately after you release an innovative game, your game will always be considered highly innovative.
I didn't know it was illegal for Europeans to read or even know about Game of Thrones. Is all news involving american citizens automatically categorized as "american news"?
It's not the latest and greatest PC hardware, which should drive down the price a ton. I bet they looked at the latest consoles and said "We don't have to innovate at all, we just just have to not be assholes"
A year ago I found out my TV didn't even have a "Forget this network" button. You had to
Make a new WiFi network
Connect it to that
Turn off new WiFi network
In order to disconnect it. I went down this road because every time I watched a Blu RAY, it would pop-up an ad saying "HERE ARE OTHER WAYS YOU COULD WATCH THIS MOVIE YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T NEED!"
I really wish I lived in a world where psychiatrists could spend time inventing terms for people who prefer rogue-likes versus people who prefer rogue-lites instead of this shit.
I recently tried Fallout 4 based off of the same expectations. Probably didn't even make it a quarter of the way through the main story. I was having absolutely no fun. The thing that finally killed it for me was spending 5 minutes calculating which items needed to be sold at a shop and which I should keep, then getting blown up a block later, then respawning right before I did all that inventory management.
