*edit: they could use Harassment, under the Communications Offences laws, possibly. There’s no explicit law about “embarrassment”. However, this is some pre-crime shit for the police to be involved without a single offence being committed. I suspect farage is making it up, as he’s made up a load of other shit. He’s a typical populist right winger - lies as easily as breathes.
Press often approach the police for comment, so I think there’s a good chance he’s telling the truth because some journo would ask the police about it.
