I can only work up so much enthusiasm for hearing about a new police station but this sounds like the best solution.

A commission of experts came out against turning the building into a museum, advocating instead for a redesign that would not be easily recognizable.

The building’s ochre-yellow was turned white, the arched windows were replaced by simple rectangular shapes and the facade has been extended upward toward the roof. Debris from the construction was disposed at a secret location to ensure it would not become a new source for Nazi memorabilia, APA reported.

It’s sensible to reformat the building as opposed to demolishing, even the vacant lot would have the same pilgrimage problem. Anything existing there would be a hateful pilgrimage location. I guess actively and inherently patrolled sidesteps all that.

I’ll say the same thing about Hitler’s birthplace that I’ve said about Trump tower and every other building that had Trump’s name or association. Have the government acquire it, as well as all of the surrounding land. Knock down all of the buildings in the neighborhood. Re-parcel out the land so that it is not clear which parcel had the original building. Change the streets even, if it helps.

Then, convert the entire area to high density government-owned affordable housing.

      Hugo Boss approves.
j/k I see your point, it isn’t enough to replace one authoriatarian over another. How convenient for the “current” administration with pressure from the ADF
