Seems like a fun game, too bad it’s Nintendo console only, and switch 2 at that even though im sure a switch 1 could run it

I wondered why everybody was all in on that wretched Mii aesthetic tamogotchi life thing when there’s what seemed like “that, but pokemon” but it being on the switch 2 explains it to me

Tbf, tomodachi life allows you to create people, objects, and phrases with no filters. So, you can make the cast of scooby do or marvel, or just be completely unhinged. The lack of censorship is a big draw.

I agree with the “fuck Nintendo” attitude. Those guys suck and I look forward to emulating the switch 2 in the near (hopefully) future.

feels like minus the generative part of it the same sort of novelty that people find appealing about llm bullshit

You could see this as an attack on tamogotchi life or perhaps it’s also not random weirdos fault that the technology underlying it will destroy the planet when they find it amusing to imagine “courtroom sketch of Godzilla v Kong” and don’t want to pay for a commissioned drawing or care about the implications to the art world

            same thing to me

I think tamogotchi life’s worst crime is the mii aesthetic for which i think it should be endlessly and relentlessly mocked alone. i find it more soulless than llm slop. it’s literally the corporate memphis of avatar design

Besides what the other user said, they are just fairly different kinds of games. In one you are a God like in Sims generating people, and there’s theoretically relationships and interactions between those people, while Pokopia is more like Minecraft but you also specifically build houses for a bunch of Pokemon.

I don’t really like either game, but it makes sense why other people do.
