Which blue wizards storyline? Tolkien had 2 and never settled on one. I’m at a point where even the absolute masterpieces of film that are the Peter Jackson trilogy frustrated me as a book guy. They’re great movies. Bad adaptations. Give me the Xena crew and a 25 episode season per book, and I mean that in the sense that LOTR is 6 books, so 2 seasons for fellowship, 2 for towers etc and that would have crushed it.

Basically they just introduced an evil wizard character that the showrunners have confirmed is one of the Istari, and the timeline matches up with the blue wizards, set in Rhûn. Also Tom Bombadil.
