Work means surviving. You either have the energy for it or you’re fucked.
“Training” can be a fancy way of saying you are very focused on one aspect of athleticism for your health, and you’ll discover that you have more energy for other things if you maintain your health and exercise. At first you feel like you don’t have the energy for it, then you do it, then you have the energy for that and more.
Also many sleep way better after getting healthier, so it builds upon itself even more. Some people struggle with sleep apnea and shit like that, and one reason is the tongue holds a lot of fat. Lose weight and you sleep better. Sleep better and it’s easier to lose weight and have energy to do other stuff. It’s the opposite of a downward spiral.
Are you not using AI at all? I still think this is a bubble about to burst, but also, they each do have actual groundbreaking products. Doesn’t mean I believe Altman or OpenAI will necessarily be around in 15 years, but in my opinion they’re more of a WebVan than they are anything.

There are FIDE women only tournaments but that’s due to there being less participation of women. When you have something like this where the skill distribution is gaussian, if you have like 50 women compete and 1000 men, you will notice that it’s extremely unlikely for a woman to ever reach 1st place just due to statistics. Replace women and men with brown hair and blond hair and you’d see the same phenomenon.
The tail of the statistics where you see extreme deviations of improved skill would be dominated by the population with much larger participation.
To counter this, they have women only tournaments so that you always have a woman in 1st place in some tournament, basically to improve participation and convince more girls to play when they’re young.
There are of course probably other factors but these things improve participation and are meant to help get more women in chess, not separate them out.

The reason they don’t market it that way is because the market they’re trying to convince are the people that want to replace workers, and pretend this is the next industrial age that puts humans out of work. They want you to think it does all your writing for you, not that it assists you here and there.
That’s what makes people invest the hardest, and it’s the biggest lie they can sell for the most money. If you don’t adopt AI, you’ll be like a horse and carriage competing with trains! That’s why every dumbass business owner is shoving AI down your throat. They believe there’s a risk that you’ll implode if you don’t adopt it early. You’ll stop being competitive.
They ignore the obvious wins we’ve taken advantage of, where people are like, “huh okay this might give me good advice sometimes if I take it with a grain of salt”, and “actually it helped me storyboard my idea and find flaws before I even started writing”, and “it actually helped me understand the history of the Ottoman empire and why they were like that, and that history can be reflected accurately in my novel now”.
These are the rational use cases which people are discovering it’s pretty helpful. But those rational use cases don’t prove that it will replace the workers, so it’s not sold as a tool. It’s being sold as an eventual replacement for the working class. Businesses would be a hell of a lot more skeptical about spending $50k on Claude if they knew it didn’t eventually mean laying off $500k in payroll. If it just means their workers are a little more efficient… Well fuck that, that doesn’t save money.
It’s going to take some time for shit to get normal. Investors will eventually learn they’re losing money. Once they bubble bursts, eventually people will learn when it’s useful and it’ll be a bit more niche.

Some of them not so easily, no. I had a subscription where I had to call and get forwarded twice over an hour to get someone who kept asking what they had to do to keep my service, dropping fees and halving my monthly rate for 6 months, etc. They make it really hard to cancel.
