      They are basically invisible clouds of scents being carried by wind. So a bat might smell fruit or other bats from far away and follow the plume.

        This is very cool. I never thought that odors had a shape but since, I can walk away from a bad one, it means it has a volume even if I can’t perceive its limits.

            We humans tend to mixed up to see and to percieve, as vision is I believe our primary used sens but there is so many other creatures that can smell, hear, touch and even taste things that are beyond our perception.
