Big desire for dem socs to have a veteran to point to and say "look the troops love us".
There's also an archetype of the "disillusioned veteran" looming around American Leftist circles because it's good to have guys with guns around your party and everyone loves a turnaround story.
The YouTube channel "Farm to Taber" has the best series on these bailouts. She describes:
how these are "small farms" (in fact multi million dollar operations since consolidation of this industry has been happening for many decades) in name only and have spokesman like in this vid that try to look folksy and cry for bailout money.
how most farms are still run by individuals but pretty much lumpenbourgeoisie (she doesn't use this terminology or any strongly leftist terms unfortunately) who inherited their farms from their fathers and are poorly educated. Not many new people entering the space who aren't just speculating on the value of the land rather than farming. The farming is like a loss leader so you can be in the running to receive bailouts.
how these farmers engaged in collective delusion knowing Trump would bankrupt them but voting for him anyways.
also the whole series on ICE and how slave labor basically grows all our food.
Trump was only antagonistic towards Ukraine for personal reasons (hunter Biden). With that event out of the way ,and Putin showing Trump up by not accepting his peace deals, it's easy to see why Trump doesn't like Putin as much as he might have in the past.
You see it time and time again, Trump got elected in 2016 and Europe guffawed. Since then there has been Boris Johnsons, Le Pens,AfD, Geert Wilders, Meloni, 100 million+ mini Hitlers on that subcontinent.
But how can they get Hamas to surrender when they are only talking with Palestinian Authority? PA would not be able to disarm Hamas. I think I agree with what VILenin said and they are just looking for an excuse to reject the calls for Palestinian statehood.
‼️ Iran's Supreme National Security Council anmounces that Tehran will suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after Britain, France, and Germany pushed to reinstate UN sanctions, and the Security Council voted against permanently lifting them.
Well I should correct myself, just Belgium is contingent on a deal, and Australia, Canada, other countries are contingent on the PA making "reforms" whatever that means.
France is slated to recognize Palestine this month. Particularly the PA. Macron says the goal is to undermine HAMAS. Whatever dude.
This has not stopped Zionists from complaining about the move because they don't want the PA or P-anything around once this war is over.
The other countries on that map this month seem to have their Belgium has its recognition of Palestine contingent on a deal being struck this month between Israel and HAMAS. Other countries like Australia, Canada, other EU countries have their recognition conditional based on "reforms" in the PA. Idk what that's supposed to mean but they probably just want an excuse to not recognize thr country.
Something i thought was notable, the AP map makes Palestine look pretty isolated, but in fact after September it will pretty much be just the usual suspects that don't recognize them.
Ethiopian script is so cool I should learn to read it.
