  • Pretty fascist statements from the DHS as you would expect. "The illegal alien was pronounced dead."

    https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/09/12/dhs-statement-ice-officer-seriously-injured-line-duty-and-shooting-chicago-during

CHICAGO — This morning, while carrying out an enforcement operation targeting a criminal illegal alien, the alien resisted arrest, attempted to flee the scene and dragged a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer a significant distance with his car.

The officer sustained multiple injuries and is in stable condition. The illegal alien was pronounced dead.

News like CBS is copying these statements with nicer language, but leaves in false narratives like the officer was "dragged". In fact he was leaning on the window and ran alongside the reversing car (since this was harassment from an ice official who had no right to do this he should be in the clear) making it look more dramatic than it actually was.

  • I thought "TRN" was old intel cause they don't make the bullet that was fired. The so-called trans ideology is either "if your reading this you're gay" or the "notices bulge owo" or the other ones maybe but even then these messages just dont track.

  • And you lied multiple times saying there is nothing to discuss here, despite many other threads suggesting otherwise. I think it's time you and I "disengage" as they say.

  • Heaven forbid we have healthy discussion on this subject - Zohran and his backpedalling (and it is perceived as backpedalling, thats what matters in political campaigns) on radical rhetoric that he has himself used in the past. There are a lot of people sharing their thoughts which is understandable, but only you are pressing this idea that I am "shit stirring".

  • fundamentally anti-democratic because you are subverting democratic choice by misleading the public about what it would mean to choose you. Turns out that tends to sit better with rightists for some reason . . .

That's a great point, leftist or at least center-left policies tend to be more popular than right wing ones so hiding power level is more beneficial to the right. And you're not going to hide your secret leftist views from the corporate interests so being shifty on the left only makes it look like your hiding something from the public.

  • Give us the Chode Cut!

  • I think leftists running for office could hide their power level, but don't and instead back down in favor of acquiring powerful friends in the legislature. The prospect is just too tempting, AOC and Bernie and the democratic party machine being on your side and all you have to do is play ball.

  • This is a new interview and it shows giving way on this issue has only caused the media to double down like with Jeremy Corbyn.

I don't think suppressing posts of these statements like what you're suggesting I do is helpful.

  • He did use the slogan in the past. And I have a funny feeling his opponents won't let him "wrap it up".

In the meetings I’ve had since that moment, I’ve met with Jewish elected officials, with rabbis, with community leaders. And there was one rabbi who spoke to me about how that phrase, for her, brought back memories of bus bombings in Haifa, of restaurant attacks in Jerusalem. I knew from what she was sharing with me that she had a fear, as she said, that that could come home to New York City.

So, in having that conversation with her, I understood that the gap between the intent I’ve heard some New Yorkers share with the use of that language—of calling for the end of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land—was disconnected from the impact it was having in that same conversation I was having with that rabbi.

And so I have said, after having that conversation, that this is language I would discourage.

  • Pretty much every unpaywalled, free-for-all, english language comment section is going to be rabidly reactionary.

  • Mark of the beast 😱😱😱

  • Men At Work? They need to be at work JAMMIN and not in meetings changing their PRONOUNS!

Seems that the people of Indonesia are tired of capitalist rot symptoms like low employment for the youth and rising cost of living and taxes. Also an incident where a taxi driver was killed. More recently there has been a scandal where, after parliament raised their own wages, people called for parliament to be dissolved.

Sahroni has faced accusations of responding insensitively to people calling for parliament to be dissolved amid anger over lawmakers’ allowances. Sahroni has labelled such critics “the stupidest people in the world”.

That guy's house got burned down lol.

Very "everybody remain calm" style responses from the police and military. So the Indonesian government is turning back to their Jakarta method roots it seems. Solidarity to the Indonesian people.

While advertising himself as an “anti-war” President that solves international conflict, he has already carried out 68 strikes on Somalia this year, surpassing the previous record of 63.

You have that, the genocide, the war with Russia , the wars with other weaker countries, the looming wars pretty much everywhere, the not just militarization but mobilization of the military at home... Did I get everything?

We could use a :trump-bush: emoji for this site.

  • They should do a poll like the one they did for congress where people ranked congress as less likable than dog poop, cockroaches, hemmroids, and the DMV.

Miley Cyrus, Vladimir Putin, Syria (?), Anthony Weiner, Honey Boo Boo, Charles Manson, and Ebola were still worse than congress btw. Would make a hell of a blunt rotation though.
