  • Sounds like they copied their plans from the Party Against Citizens (a dutch comedy satire sketch, name says it all)

  • Yes, like public transport

  • The rejected one was a first round with a bunch candidates, if it wasn't rejected they still would have a second round with two highest scoring candidates competing. But I don't know the answer to your question.

  • Why provide a link to a how-to but not to an archived webpage? Rules asks for it:

  • Feel like I need to add no sarcasm intended.

  • I don't disagree but a lot of chains rely on franchisers, who can still be a neighbour. Also the employees can still be your neighbour. Also the supplier can be your neighbor. Buying local is definitely a good choice, likely the better choice, but not all 'companies headquartered in a different city' are equally evil. Also because economy of scale is a thing. That's why you're not talking about 'companies headquartered in another street' for example.

  • Talks on a EU-UK deal are in their "final hours" ahead of a major summit with the bloc, the British minister in charge of negotiations has said.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is expected to announce a deal with the EU when he meets European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa in London tomorrow.

  • Usually I dislike and downvote political news in this community but if EU falls apart the western world is going to be a total mess and earth and everyone depending on international aid will suffer greatly. This feels like such a big relief. A putin puppet in Romania will likely turn out to be a really bad thing for a lot of people.

  • I'm on Mac OS and am not preparing to switch, will likely do this as one of the last steps but I do enjoy reading about people's experience now as I feel this is the big one. I mean all of Europe can get a new email provider and use alternatives for office/Photoshop etc, but it will be a much more meaningful step if it's part of a broader move to EU tech at the very foundation of software (os's and cloud infrastructure etc). Please keep us updated 🙏

  • Great news for Romania, Europe and the rest of the planet - but it's not what his opponent claims. I really hope this works out in a civilized and peaceful way.

  • This has more to do with reach than with public opinion, no offense but I do not find this valuable information. I mean I'm glad with every vote, but this doesn't really say anything meaningful.

  • I don't know by heart but I believe this illustrator has done loads of children's books. Big chance if you insert the images URL on tineye.com you will find your answer.

  • Doesn't seem to make a difference, but if you guys can see it it is not Lemmy so that's good. Will check it out on my pc later.

Edit: yes, works fine on pc.

  • Yes very hopeful, if you break your heart there might be someone there waiting to cook you for dinner.

  • This isn't the time to fuck up France, go get your shit together

  • Well I saw it and the 'review' helped me understand how likely it is the videos content has value for me without skimming through it or listening to it in the background. So I'm glad this person took the time to write a comment.

  • Yep it's precisely that

  • Yeah it comes down to the same end result, what I like about 'our' saying in this case is that it implies you've been warned and should by now know better.
