  • In Dutch we have this saying that if you don't want to listen, you have to feel. Not sure if that's also a thing in English but EU is definitely not gonna be ok with this.

  • Well good news i guess, but you cannot keep the tarmac and just call it a park. Those two things are diametrical opposites. Six lane parks wtf.

  • However, the country still has the EU’s second-lowest score – above only Romania – in the annual Rainbow Map published by ILGA-Europe, a Brussels-based NGO

Special bonus for comment readers, the map mentioned in the article:

    • Microsoft was meant to make EU-specific changes to Azure by last month
    • ECCO has issued its second amber report against Microsoft
    • The company must now engage in Plan B
  • No I didn't, you have a url for me? /s

  • i am lazy but i'm not even saying doing less steps is worth the cancer it gets you. I'm just pointing out that simplicity isn't really a strong side of stainless steel when comparing it to teflon since simplicity is basically the only thing teflon has going for it.

  • Thanks for this but I will stay say teflon is simpler (not better!)

  • could have seen that, think i didn't because it the graph is about cars and pollution. I get op's anti-us sentiment, but funny thing is that a lot of data in newspapers with graphs in km is still (at least partially) based on data and research from us but well

  • I would like to say that i disagree with some of this, but will not argue it because I respect that the people who put effort in maintaining* this community are the ones that make the rules. Thank you for taking the time to write this explanation. edit: small spelling error

  • Gas miles as units?

  • I posted this somewhere in the comments already, but copy pasting it to be helpful:.

Op cut it out for some reason, but it is in the linked article. Here is a screenshot of the 'y-axis':

  • spoiler in a spoiler (if you ask me)

  • I guess the closing deadline also gives it a sense of urgency and in nonfederated communities it could be that it becomes trending because so many people talk about it at the same time.

  • Heavy traffic due to it being massively shared online the right now, please leave a tab open and try again later the next 24h!

  • Seems to be gaining traction on Mastodon as well, this is under a post to remind people of the deadline:

If there really are 10-20k signatures added per hour we will reach it today :))

  • Yes, but the alternatives are Google and Amazon. The bigger the organizations the smaller the amount of options, since the back-end becomes increasingly difficult to manage.

  • Sending and receiving email is one thing, but accessing data that is on Microsoft servers is another. Hope they made an external back-up in time (would be surprised if they didn't, but still).

  • This might be an unpopular opinion, but I feel the people working at icc currently have other fish to fry first. They are not like UN part of diplomatic relations but are tasked with investing (war)crimes already commited. I sincerely hope they have their priorities straight and focus on Sudan, Myanmar and Gaza first. Maybe Ukraine Xinjiang next, I don't know what should be a priority but not US. I mean what US is doing is really bad, and maybe the matter of the deportations, the treatment of trans people and all the misogyny will eventually be something to handle in the ICC but for now I hope this 'just' sends a message to the countries connected to the ICC and they go fix shit without burdening the ICC itself with it.

  • No I totally agree but it would be framing which is not the same as being biased, and the title implies a causation but doesn't actually say there is one. Also could have kept quiet because i don't really disagree with op.
