Every copy of Marling's books I've bought includes a shout out to slrpnk.net in the 'What is Solarpunk?' section at the beginning. So let's call it reciprocal. I haven't read my copy of Neon Riders yet but I absolutely recommend Murder in the Tool Library and The Missing Mermaid.
I don't mean to get off topic but effective synopsis of media is a massive value add. Making ideas cross platform AND cross media types is helpful, not detrimental. Advertisements are your enemy, not viewers.
Gaming on Linux is flourishing. Achievable migration for most games. Biggest niche asterisk from my perspective is VR. Already a technical pain in the ass to get working reliably/efficiently on Windows. Throw Linux into the mix and expect to have a hell of a time configuring and troubleshooting.
I'm not super informed on these systems, but looks like evaporative cooling does account for a lot of water consumption. Probably also explains why freshwater is used (to avoid mineral and other deposits.)
I think I saw somewhere that they put plates of repeat shoplifters in there for notification when they roll up. Surveillance state? Surveillance corporate states.
Fuck no. Folding a flag like this before burning is how you respectfully retire it. Piss on it, ball it up, throw it in the fire, then piss on it while it burns. Sing union dixie or some shit while it burns for added effect.
Live in Utah and wanted to joke about my cesius loving family members getting one of these. But in all seriousness: seems to only affect cans packaged in high noon boxes?
I think what sets people off is that they're paid between 100k and 200k. They see that and the rumors that the WNBA isn't profitable and conclude "they're paid enough." But is 200k really a lot in the context of the highest paid players in an intense sport which is likely to leave you with lifelong injuries? Most top tier athletes work to make sure they can afford a modest life after retiring and I don't see how the median player could begin to approach that. I'll be rooting for their union.
Yep. We celebrated this win since there were other bills this session which make it harder for salt lake city to build more bike lanes. And this jackass doesn't understand a clearly worded law. Can't catch a break.
