  • It is reductive, mostly because I'm not capable of considering someone redeemable and irredeemable at the same time. Take your pick. It is a two way street, and you see them as that flawed and they certainly aren't going to cross outside of their bubble, no chance to ever meet on that street.

    I don't live in lala land, but then again, I'm not the one seeing all of them that flawed. To me, that's like saying that every member of a cult that went to do something infamous was despicable, it shows zero psychological awareness.

If this is the extent of it, and frankly considering that Google let's you opt out of personalized tracking when many sites have begun forcing them onto users and forcing me to constantly clear their cookies, that makes me a lot less mad with them.

  • That article doesn't really indicate that one person was the target, nor does making 3000 pagers or whatever they were into bombs. I find it more likely that the Iranian delegation representative was just meeting with Hezbollah at the time or received one of their pagers to stay in communication. Nothing in the articles you link suggests this was done just to target them, just that they were affected.

  • I wonder what made their leadership continue to escalate into increasingly bullshit decisions. What happens if I need to pause because I need my PC to be quiet so I can address something and still an ad suddenly starts playing, completely interrupting what I wanted to address in a completely intrusive way? I'll tell you what happens, I'll either find some way to disable that from happening, switch to a service that doesn't do it if I can, or just begin avoiding it all together.
