    Even if democrats win, there's the very real danger afterwards that nothing is able to be changed just as it has not been able to under Biden, that the Supreme Court can continue to act outside of laws and ethics, that there continues to be no penalty for disinformation and bribes, that the voting system continues to be slanted towards one side, that billionaires continue buying up and manipulating what's reported in key states, that ignorance and bigotry continues to worsen and become more extreme, that key federal agencies are moved to some of the most bigoted and politically slanted states...

  • There's no elected leader, but there's an implicit one: the one organizing it, who might just give you the cold shoulder for any number of reasons. Anarchism is best defined in Wikipedia, and isn't really limited to "small scales". It is most validated when it is a movement existing within authoritarian states, out of necessity, which is why Revolutionary Action joined into the Revolutionary Committee among other groups, which is what you are referring to.

    By itself and out of context, and specially when it manifests in societies that are actually functional, democratic, and with adequate social policies, I favor my own definition, but it can't really be defined practically and objectively without context. "No (to your Russian) rules except the ones I agree with (Ukrainian national stability and identity), otherwise GFY" sprinkled with a heavy dose of personal charisma is what Revolutionary Action is doing to Russia as it attempts to annex Ukraine, thanks for the example.

    It's true, I've now changed my resumé to that of a cat veterinarian.     As to why it is seemingly done randomly in reddit, it is to decrease your global karma score to make you less influential and to discourage you from making new comments. You probably pissed off someone's troll farm in what they considered an influential subreddit. It might also interest you that reddit was explicitly named as part of a Russian influence effort here: https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1366201/dl - maybe some day we will see something similar for other obvious troll farms operating in Reddit.

You can feed your cat a "vegan diet", you will just have to feed them a god level amount of artificial supplements like taurine, arachidonic acid, EPA and DHA omega 3, vitamin A, etc. It will also increase their risk of urinary tract disease due to alkaline. Or much more likely, your cat will go out on their own and eat normal food. But I must be pulling these terms out of my ass, since I'm a lemmy user.

    If only there were pets that were herbivores. Could you imagine that, not being hypocritical by extending the existence of carnivores and the suffering they bring to other animals within your personal ecosystem and actually having herbivore pets?

  • Because opposition parties generally have their groups in there, which would cause political backlash and distance the supporters that still use it. Not that banning social networks abusing their privilege through hidden moderation and promotion and selling their user's data so propagandist know who and how to target shouldn't be done, but right know it would be done under the counter-chants of "repression" in the particular cold war 2.0 state of affairs of the world today, and that's very politically taxing.
