Nichijou is awesome. Funny thing tho, it's actually where I learned the word "moe". There's this part where Hakase is wearing these furry ears? or gloves? or something like that, and doing a funny pose. And her robot friend is like: "but that's moe!" and the subtitles didn't translate it any further, so I had to look it up.
That's cool... my first "real" job was as a web programmer back in 99... that was when we'd write perl scripts in cgi-bin directories. (nowadays people are like "we'll zoomph the urdwad into the brokely service, then... question, Sergio?" / "no, I'm just raising my arms to make sure I'm not having a stroke.") Anyway the designers at that web shop back in 99 were really cool, they helped me understand the value of design and turned me on to some great trip-hop.

Nice. For those that don't know, @Zagorath@aussie.zone is posting the classic novel Dracula "as it occurs" because it's an epistolary novel i.e. written as if was a series of diary entries or postal letters which begins in May and ends in a couple months. Anyway we're currently in a several-days delay, so it's a great time to catch up!
Drama in the goth scene? (shocked). if it's any consolation, the founders aren't that good at web design and their events page is pretty hard to read. A couple online things I've found:
I oughta find sources for goth/industrial memes. But I don't wanna look at reddit or twitter even through a mirror, and I dunno how to cross-post from mastodon. Maybe I'll take a look at bluesky.
Looks like a lot of the online events (i.e. twitch and youtube DJ sets) are going on throughout the weekend, and the in-person events have been happening since early may and will also continue for several days.
World Goth Day celebrates the subcultural aspects of goth with fashion shows, art exhibitions and live performances. Many of the events feature local bands, and some have taken on a charitable aspect
