One of my sons didn't care my wife (used to) post his pics. The other at times, nearly violently, opposed having his pix online since he was about five or six years old.
Man I am pretty chill (nowadays in my old age), but if I saw my team skipping lunch I'd tell them to stop working and start eating.
There are parts of our jobs that are unavoidable on a few nights or weekends, but I make sure we spread that around fairly, and I take more of them than my team.
Not surprisingly, my team is consistently the happiest so of course other managers complain to me that I'm making them look bad. When our CEO says every manger can set their own work polices. Just change yours!
I think most modern exegesis of that verse rather tightly constrains it to rabbinical law, bearing in mind that the Sadducees and those upstart Pharisees (of which JC was one) were battling out questions of the law at the time JC was doing his thing.
So just saying I think you're right. Otherwise, no football on Sunday for many multiple reasons!
Oh yeah for sure; a very good principal. But this Bluesky poster in particular gets a lot of argument from folks who have not done any research or are outside of their fields.
So I don't want to be "that guy." I learn enough listening to their (often long) replies.
Can confirm that this person (I still don't know, or care, their gender) knows A Great Deal of Stuff. I don't always agree with their conclusions on medical issues, but not going to argue with them given their indeed insane research skills + anecdotal evidence. I may be on Bluesky too much.
Yeah alas the subreddit for it did a lot of the heavy lifting for me - they took apart every study (I helped) and had some good sidebar (or was it pinned, been so long I cannot remember) info to counter the "dumb reactionary shit." I am pretty sure the sub got baninated, but I haven't been back to reddit since I rage quit after the API debacle.
When I first started vaping in 2011 (after smoking two packs a day for decades), there were a lot of solid, research-based web boards, but I think social media killed them, as it did so much.
I am someone who used to do medical research for a lot of money. I've interviewed chairs of FDA committees, trial designers, and active trial leads on phase III (mostly) research in pharma and biologics. I still have access to PupMed via my old friends.
The Wife and will say this to each other ever day until Christmas. As it tradition.
