Are you a mod?
Are you a mod?
Especially more prolific ones and condemning them consistently with it is just hypocritical.
Accusing the critical statement about country A of hypocrisy because what about critical statement about country B is textbook whataboutism. Your “yea, but country B is as bad as country A because …” is exactly that.
You don’t need to imply that country A is better than country B or vice versa, because the point of whataboutism is to relativise the criticism by pointing to another. This article is about China and their actions, your contribution to the discussion was to immediately steer it to “the Americans” - why’s that?
literally said it was wrong for the US and China. It’s the opposite of whataboutism.
From the definition of whataboutism linked above, my italics:
the act or practice of responding to an accusation of wrongdoing by claiming that an offense committed by another is similar or worse
You are doing exactly that.
A complaining spoiled kid shielded from the truth is only the minor problem here. Her own university siding with this kid and putting commercial interest above academic freedom and accuracy in this spineless appeasing move is what makes me speechless.
For context, Moldova is forbidden from entering military alliances or allowing allied troops in the country by the terms of their Constitution,
Given that their breakaway province Transnistria is doing exactly this, I’d either change this provision or give a damn about it.
Nervous French noises…
I’m neither Scottish nor Irish unfortunately, but I’d say the more the merrier!
The Celtic Union is a dream of mine ever since Brexit happened.
Hope the good governor gets cancer of the anus talking that kind of shit.
Well. Having to live in Russia and apparently feeling the urge to make these kind of ludicrous comments on a regular basis to please this insane mobster state and ensure it won’t be your turn to be dropped out of the nearest window for the next couple of months seems to be a punishment in itself.
That’s why instead of passively waiting for Russia to change we have to actively support Ukraine to defend itself. Literally make Russia pay for its actions.
Europe needs to build up defenses.
I know that, you know that, apparently. But there are loads of people and countries in Europe that still see no need in building up defenses, that still want to close their eyes before what is inevitably happening.
As long as we are not willing provide the money and muscle ourselves, I see no other alternative to trust them.
Because so far, American money and military muscle is needed to stop Russia in Ukraine and deter it from further adventures in Europe.
…which you btw can also clearly see by Apple freely attacking them in this article. They are neither afraid nor do they feel the need to appease.
solve this mess
While I generally agree with you, it is not up to us EUropeans to sort out this mess but up to the Brits. They made a decision and if they do not like the results of said decision, they should have it again.
Cheaper too, you don’t have to buy a new insulting tie for every work meeting.
While I generally agree, nothing’s as cheap as having your people pay for your exquisite tie collection.
A short victorious war against either Israel or the West, or even both, is a thing my fantasy isn’t strong enough to imagine.
Just what his country needs: more political-economical instability.
But it is just Russia. Vast parts of the former CCCP today are enjoying life without Russia.
