Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a large pro-Palestinian rally in Istanbul on Saturday that Israel is doomed to stand alone amid the UN vote on a resolution on the Gaza Strip, and wondered whether the West wants a war of “the cross and the crescent.” ⠀ Earlier, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution of Arab countries calling for an immediate truce in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, leading to a cessation of hostilities

Just what his country needs: more political-economical instability.

Isn’t the solution to impending economic collapse a short victorious war? History is full of examples where that worked out great.

A short victorious war against either Israel or the West, or even both, is a thing my fantasy isn’t strong enough to imagine.

Erdogan has this extremist rhetoric quite some time now and people in Turkey keep voting for him. Actually quite sad what became of that secular state, that Turkey was once.
