It is the first criminal case of its kind since Russia’s Supreme Court outlawed the so-called “international LGBT movement” last November.

If found guilty, the defendants face up to ten years in jail.

    Police raided the club, called Pose, in early March following a request from the local prosecutor.

    They were reportedly accompanied by members from a local nationalist group called “Russian Community”.

    So, local fascists are accompanying the police during detentions? What could go wrong here?

    The Press needs to stop calling it “Russia”. It’s just the next iteration of the Soviet Union. The CCCP with a facade of Democracy and freedom.

      But it is just Russia. Vast parts of the former CCCP today are enjoying life without Russia.

      That would be a bit silly given that it’s not a union of republics and there’s nothing soviet or socialist about Russia

          According to Kamil Galeev, it would be more accurate to claim that both the Soviet Union and modern Russia operate mostly the same way as Tsarist Russia did
