"Man rests from one labor by doing another." That also works for managing chronic pain, as I've discovered...

  • Everything is a myth, when it comes down to it. And yes, yes-- we thought ourselves oh-ho-ho clever when we were kids, spinning such bullshit out of wine, and vice-versa, but it didn't take, nah.

It didn't take for me and my own, particular group of Freakangels, mah dude.

Nah, at some point most of us agreed to do our best in terms of shared, honest, critical analysis and talking 'straight-up,' without your current level of ego-massaging bullshit, as you appear to be dipping heavily in to, here.

That said-- good for you for exploring these things, as you appear to be doing. Rock on with that, and may the light persistently guide you. <3

  • Nah, it was just something I ate.

  • Hmm, that seems kind of cynical, though. One's life is one's life, one's memories are one's memories, and the child is father of the man.

Sure, I get that embellishment / distortion can be a problem, but I'm talking about remembering facts & reality as best we can, as part of understanding one's very identity.

For me it's been highly useful, but for others... maybe not so much..?

  • Ignorant snek!

Could have done some knots, a pretzel, an ouroboros...

  • Existential dread, or sweet, long-lost reunion...?

  • What about saying some stoopid shit like "the DOW is past 50K?"

  • It was simply this photo that got me wondering-- how resilient cars are and were to water, in general. I wasn't talking about just this scenario.

  • I wonder if cars back then were more or less resilient to water damage. Simpler, sturdier parts and much simpler electrical systems on one hand, vs. vastly more extensive electrical and electronic systems on modern cars, but perhaps better-protected from moisture via plastic & rubber insulation.

Of course, if it was a Tesla, I'd simply expect a massive fire at the least little splash of water...

  • Sir, pass me that spliff, please?

  • Plus, the added irony of it being Ireland, who previously lost its northern expanse to British intervention, not to mention had its citizens pushed around by the Brits for ages.

Imagining myself as an Irish person, I couldn't think of a more appropriate case of fighting back militarily against a completely unwarranted invasion, like most of the rest of Europe is doing.

  • Sir (or madam), they are not a "sir."

  • I remember them as producing some fairly cheesy late 80's hits, but Sowing the Seeds of Love is a powerhouse, badass tune to me.

Personally, I can cover it in terms of vocal range and timbre, but it almost feels like I'd need a 2nd pair of lungs to handle it on karaoke nights.

  • Use it quickly, that's the rule!

  • It ended up being a little too spicy for us.

I like to use chipotle powder in my cooking, but I'm often underestimating the amount used. A workaround is to instead use liquid smoke, when in doubt.

Btw, methinks cilantro would also be good in that soup. It can be added near the end, otherwise it will tend to disappear amongst the other flavors.

  • I am no kind of expert, but one thing worth keeping in mind is that garlic stored in oil can evidently develop botulism after a few days. It sounds like you're good, due to the cooking process and saltiness / acidity of the hot sauce exposure, but again, I'm just a layperson here.

    Looks delicious, in any case!

  • You might mix it with non-junk food rice. Shortgrain-brown might have a similar-enough cooking time that they can be mixed together. I'm hazy on that, as I stopped eating rice years ago, replacing it with steel-cut oats.

Or, who knows... maybe you could donate the sack to a food bank?

  • Ah, shit...
