  • Sorry but the proposed ways to approach the situation is akin to putting everyone in jail just to be sure, because a handful of people are criminals. I'm a parent myself, so I'm well aware of the dangers and difficulties. Guess what? Those dangers don't vanish when you hit 18. You'll just be even less prepared to identify fake ragebait content. Everyone needs to be educated on the matter so that parents can do a better parenting job. What's next? Banning sugar because mom and dad can't be arsed to explain to their children that cornflakes are a dessert treat and not a breakfast?

  • You have no idea dude. The general populace, especially tired parents have no clue. Most of the parents I talk to are in favor of this. One less parenting resonsability for them. And to them their data is already available to everyone everywhere so it makes no real difference in their mind. It's infuriatingly mindboggling.

  • I'd like to add that you can setup Adguard or Pihole in your network to use microsoft telemetry blacklists to limit their sniffing. My work laptop constantly reminds me that I'm not connected to the internet although everything works fine, because it can't reach the captive portal 😄

    1. I was commenting on the availability of ID apps, not on the participation in social media and other services
    2. Internet access and privacy are human rights. If those are taken from anyone, for example by mandating becoming a big tech customer to access ID apps, it becomes at least a social issue, if not a legal one.

  • The only official ID apps I've ever seen only run exclusively on android and ios. Meaning you can't partake in any digital governmental services without being a google or apple customer. Which seems at least flawed, if not down right illegal.

  • Noch einer der glaubt, dass es hier um Jugendschutz geht. Passt doch mal bitte besser auf Leute. Weltweit werden immer die gleichen Vorwände genutzt um das gleiche zu bewirken: komplette Überwachung. Social Media Verbot lässt sich nämlich nur durch Deanonymisierung des Internets umsetzen.

  • Dass du deine Frage nach der Relevanz der Rewe-Kassen selber einen Absatz später beantwortet und es nicht merkst zeugt, dass du dich krass in deine eigene Ideologie verrannt hast. Wie in meinem obigen Kommentar bereits erwähnt, glaube ich dass es sich zumindest für mich nicht lohnt das Thema mit dir weiter zu diskuzieren.

  • Sorry, aber alles was du sagst ist mir zu weit weg von der Praxis. eCom ist eine Alternative zum Einzelhandel, also eine Option und damit kein Zwang. Bargeldhandhabung, bzw. der Verzicht darauf, hat sich bisher in meinem Leben noch nicht als Vergünstigung realisiert. Der Rewe um die Ecke hat nach einführung der SB Kassen eben mal pauschal alles um 30% angehoben. Deine Optionen gegen leere Akkus haben alle die selben Mängel die du beim Bargeld bennenst (Verlust, Diebstahl, Zerstörung), also ersetzt du ein Problem mit genau dem gleichen, nur halt mit Zwischenschritt. Ja Bargeld ist nicht ohne seine Probleme, aber die Infrastruktur ist da und solide, und mehr Optionen haben noch nie geschadet. Redet ja keiner davon ApplePay zu killen.

  • Viele Technik-fremdere Menschen unterschätzen halt immer noch was digital alles machbar ist. Es sind einfach Lichtjahre Unterschied, ob Heinz Müller meinen Namen und Gesicht mal gesehen hat und 5 Minuten später vergisst, oder ne KI mit Kamera das in Sekunden querprüft, mit tausenden bereits vorhandenen Datensätzen verbindet und dann für Ewig speichert. Heinz kann auch nicht gehackt werden weil vernünftige Security zu viel Geld kostet. Und jemandem mit der Knarre drohen ist halt ne ganz andere Hürde als im Internet ein Skript runterzuladen.

    100% richtig. Deshalb die Forderung überall Bargeld als Option zu akzeptieren. Das löst einfach sehr viele Probleme.

    Wir unterhalten uns hier die ganze Zeit über Privatsphere, aber dass ist ja nur einer der vielen guten Gründe. Mir läuft hin und wieder auch mal der Akku leer. Wie fahre ich dann Bus? Ist das fair, dass ich dann 10km latsche nur weil ich Nachst vergessen hab das Handy zu laden? Ich hab n Fuffi doch in der Tasche, der funtioniert auch ohne Strom (und Lebenslauf)
