I’m sorry, I should have been more clear. I’m not using liberal as in people who identify as politically “liberal” in the US. I’m talking about adherents of the philosophy of Liberalism.
“Conservative” is not a political ideology, it is a branding term. The Democrats and the old guard of Republicans are both Liberal parties. This is why establishment DNC fights their own party’s left wing more than the Republicans, as they represent an actually different ideology.
