First of all, they’re not YOUR grandkids, they’re OUR children. We’re raising them. We’re feeding them. We’re changing diapers, not you. You want a purse accessory you want to show your friends and hold them for 5 minutes until they shit themselves then hand them back to US to take care of.
And why are you asking when we’re having kids? How are kids formed, mom? You want to know my sex life? You want to know how much your son in law is raw dogging me ever week? You want to know if I’m ovulating and can be impregnated?
That’s the logic. And it’s really fucking gross. Parents asking when they’re getting grandkids is really fucking gross.
OP accidentally upset her parents by saying “we have news”. He mother assumed it meant they were about to have a child when in reality she just wanted to let everyone know her two ducks were dating.
When the mother found out the news was about two dating ducks she got visibly upset; and when OP saw this look of sadness fall on her mothers face, instead of feeling bad, she thought it was funny. So funny that she’s decided she’s going to do this regularly

If you and OP decide to be mean in return, you do so with justification of your own. Both people are being mean and trying to justify why their mean behavior is better than the other person mean behavior
