In a remarkably strange statement at a recent California State Senate hearing over the Protect Our Games Act (AB 1921, California’s Stop Killing Games-endorsed bill to compel publishers to provide ways to keep playing discontinued games), a representative of the Entertainment Software Association declared private servers for the likes of Minecraft and Call of Duty “illegal,” adding that, so far as the ESA is concerned, “we consider it piracy.”

In a statement to PC Gamer, the ESA wrote that, so far as it’s concerned, “Private servers infringe on the intellectual property (IP) rights of game publishers. Publishers reserve the right to exercise their rights against them.”

Sure they do, but if you think they’re actually Christian more than they’re capitalist, you aren’t paying attention.

They are their own breed of Christian but that doesnt change the fact that religion has its play in global warming. You also have evangelicals who think allowing the world to fall apart will bring the rapture so they can all just go to heaven with their sky daddy. Then you also have the ones who dont think they should be changing anything because its all a part of God’s plan. Relgion has a major play in the warming of the planet to think otherwise is very daft.

Religion is used by capitalists to manipulate the masses. They aren’t actually religious though, or at least a very small minority of them.

Anyway I didn’t say religion has no effect on the state of the world. I said it’s not the main driver, and I fully stand by that.
