We all know there’s only one universal language in Australia that every inhabitant speak fluently no matter what upbringing, creed or genetic make up. Crippling alcoholism.

There are dozens of Australian languages, and I think English immigrants should learn at least a few words in any one of them. Ideally the local one. You know, like it says in the post. “the local Indigenous language”.
