I grew up nerdy but only in the academic sense. My folks weren’t nerds and there was no nerd crew at school. It was only when they sent me to nerd camp that I discovered that the whole spells and pointy-ears and many-sided-dice facets of nerddom. I wanted none of it; being into math was already detrimental enough to my social life without adding in all of that stuff. My rejection persisted for decades, until Gambo was getting rave reviews and I realized that it was silly to deprive myself of slop due to some nerd/dork turf wars from the 90s. I started watching. It turned to shit and went out on a brown note.

Never again. Rule reinstated. If I see a dragon, I find something else to watch.
