Hynix does around ~580,000 DRAM wafers per month that around 60% of are HBM, so somewhere around ~350,000 HBM wafers per month.

Samsung is on around 700,000 DRAM wafers per month but only around 200,000 HBM wafers which are mostly HBM3E

AI eats all the HBM4 supply for big money.

That’s why Hynix are bigger, momentarily.

No that’s not a good enough reason, Samsung makes HBM4 too, and has better access to production on their own advanced facilities.
As I already stated, Hynix may have better profits right now, but no doubt Samsung can match that, and when the RAM craze is over, Samsung is in a 100 times better position.

Hynix is not worth more than Samsung in reality, this is just another AI craze without a basis in reality.
