They’re gonna make Star Trek: Legacy… but as a comic.
not even animated series… nor live action short film (like Punisher: one last kill)…
but a comic… it’s one step above standalone concept art collection, or text-only short story.
no offense to comic fans. just saying from corporate pov, the bigger the budget, the greater the company’s confidence in the character.
a comic, I’m guessing, costs a few thousand? maybe 6 digits for a long run with the best writer and artists? tv pilot or one-shot with a pro film crew has gotta be at least 7 digits, on the low end.
considering Seven’s popularity, I’d say this budget is insulting and probably
pandering totrying to stay unnoticed by the MAGAts (see: Paramount bending the knee to cheetoh face) who hate to see female protagonists, especially ones who used to wear skin-tight outfits while kissing Chakotay and have upgraded to kissing women while wearing … normal? non-stretch? clothes.@MadMadBunny Huh I don’t see how is Seven “Star Trek Picard’s Most Underrated Character”? When I read that headline I assumed it was either discount Legolas or the sexy incestuous romulan.
It’s the article’s title. Not my own. Wouldn’t have written that either, so undermining.
Yeah, that’s some clickbaity shit there lol. What a dumb headline for them to use.
Not quite all our dreams, seeing how we were asking for a show…
Yeah I mean wtf she’s still got it, I mean the actress is the reason Obama became president, surely she could be driving ratings on a luxury living room set space station
Oh great, more seven! But also, oh great, more super high stakes plot. World ending yet entirely unheard of threat, i’m sure.
It’s just a comic
Yeah, disappointed. But still counts.
At this point, Star Trek is a series of comics, novels, video games, and a tabletop RPG.
OK I can get into this.
