I’ve been trying to argue with libs on reddit who are confused about why they should support Iran if it’s a theocratic regime that’s against LGBT people, women, etc, especially Iranian diaspora. This is a great example about why imperialism is the chief contradiction of our time. No other progress is possible without self-sovereignty first. (I’ve been using Cuba as an example with previous arguments.)
