We are a “desert prairie” climate, this could be all the rain we get other than random thunderstorms all year. And the last few years we had watering restrictions (main breaks), got rain barrels at that time to collect stuff for emergencies.
City council also introduced mandatory watering restrictions (meant for lawns mainly) to be permanent too.
Happening everywhere, unfortunately.
Not wrong, but we do have some rather unique weather conditions as well.
We barely get 90 days reliably frost free, than there’s this stuff.
Yes climate change is making these swings worse, but not everywhere is like where I live.
RIP. I went through this myself earlier last month, where it’s blazing hot the previous month and then blazing hot + heavy rain very often for about two to three week, which all my tomatoes cracked. Now it’s back to just blazing hot. Though the temp fluctuation isn’t as crazy as yours.
I just planted everything outside after doing a hardening. Seasonal frost is “done”, but there’s always the risk.
This is nothing abnormal, even during the middle of winter the temps can swing 30c+ and be 20c while there’s a foot of snow.

And of May has a 50/50 chance of snowing, so this is marginally better, atleast the plants don’t just get crushed.
Everything else like the peas, beans and cucumbers just put the seeds in last week. So hopefully they aren’t flooded, but they should love all the water.

thank fully where I am at is finally passed that and even onto the next stage. Unfortunately it looks like we are going to where its just a bit chilly. one nice comfortable day. to days that are bit to hot. although I saw a commenter who called it blazing heat.
