Can’t even do something so basic as flipping a useful idiot. The DNC is truely hopeless. Spineless, idealistic children pretending this is a fairytale that will work out if you stick to your ideals, work hard and believe in the power of friendship

She already flipped. That doesn’t mean we have to talk to her or be around her, because it’s super fresh. We should only do that after she has repaired most of the damage she has done, but the toll is massive, and she still holds and announces a lot of stupid ideals that cause damage to innocent people right now. Remember she did this just 5 years ago and her attitude about any of that hasn’t really changed. (It’s that video of her harassing a school shooting survivor). She still does and says shit like that, it’s so fresh.

The fact you want to “include her in the table” just because she changed her opinion in one single thing for a few weeks is insane. It comes across as you trying to sabotage the people, as if you want them to let their guard down, become easy to manipulate and so on. Introduce more Fettermans, trojan horses. Not saying that’s what you are doing, I do understand your position, you are not bad, you are forgiving quickly, that takes a lot of strength after seeing what these MAGAs have said and done every holy day since 2016, including the thousands of hundreds of deaths their greed and policies have caused. I’m just gonna say: be attentive. These people are psychopaths and decent enough at acting.

And if you use whataboutism with Graham Platner, it won’t hit the same. Platner has shown growth for over a decade. What he did in the past is heavy, it’s difficult to forgive, but we still need to learn how to measure redemption properly; we can’t hold grudges forever. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep an eye on Platner if he wins. The moment he begins to show us that he lied, the people should bring justice and stop him asap. We just have to normalize that healthy and obligatory level of aggression we need as a society to be able to put corruption in jail as soon as it shows its face, before it corrupts its surroundings.

Let her do her thing; if you agree with what she is saying, do not interfere. If she says something insane, criticize it. We shouldn’t let her influence us, though. I’d highlight the word “influence,” it’s different from listening, which we can and should do, as long as it is productive and not her usual bullshit, which again, hasn’t changed much yet. That’s all.
