Maybe Lemme “leftists” should listen to the left, rather than trying to silence the left.

Given that a notable portion of anti-dem traffic here continues to target the most progressive members of the party, I don’t see anything as being good enough for certain parts of the fedi.

Of course there are the anti-west/anti-left accounts that wake up around US election cycles to cosplay as extreme leftists trying to convince the general population how bad things are and to just stay home or vote for some fringe candidate to the same effect as well.

Democrat Ro Khanna is willing to work with MTG on anti-Israel legislation. AOC has worked with plenty of Republicans in the past. How is criticising her for refusing to do it against Israel invalid exactly?

Margie ‘jewish space lasers’ Green is not someone you make any kind of pact with on anything and manage to come away not worse off for it.

What a position on China has to do with one on Israel is questionable at best, but the oop is just the kind of frantic, single line thinking panic declaring people should abandon the viable left for some purity tested phantom that people pump out en mass (and plenty often with AI these days) to push people to disengage.

“I think he’s done quite well, given the limitations that we have,” Ocasio-Cortez said on the “Pod Save America” podcast Thursday. “I do think that there are ebbs and flows.”

First, endorsing the party incumbent who’s the only one making a serious bid for the job is pretty well a given. Second, that doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement even as it is. At least with Biden he made some effort to say cut it out rather than Trump telling the to finish the job so he can build a casino strip and starting several more wars around them.

She does not have to endorse MTG to work with MTG. She could have also ran opposition to Biden hijacking another election which was doomed to fail but decided to support him instead.

Moreover as the video says she worked with Ted Cruz before to sanction China. Either Ted Cruz is somehow better than MTG, or China is worse than Israel.

Of course neither are true. AOC has been very open to ally with dubious figures in the past. But for Israel she suddenly finds the standards she previously abandoned?

Right? Shit like this almost feels like… a psy-op to keep the left divided against itself. And then we ape-brains conveniently spread such content to soothe our egos via complex purity tests.

Seriously folks, I get we all want to hold the absolute moral high ground, but we’re all losing the war because of letting psy-ops divide us. “Oh, I wouldn’t fall for any of that.” Bull. Fucking. Shit.

Pay attention to when Be wary of messaging that pits you against people with whom you actually have more in common than in opposition. When we wait for perfectly aligned allies, we die alone. And when we propagate and perpetuate divisive content, we’re just doing the fash’s job for them.

Short, quippy, and categorically wrong. You’re underscoring my points about how we’re getting divided and subsequently conquered. But keep on being divisive and see how that works for you. I’ll be over here trying to unite my fellow leftists.

But keep on being divisive and see how that works for you.

Want to demolish a regime? It’s gonna take a lot more than a vote. But waiting for a perfect candidate is a sure way to lose. The worldwide fash uprising didn’t happen within a single voting cycle; this was a concerted, multi-front effort on the part of Conservatives and oligarchs (see: “Evil Geniuses,” by Kurt Andersen). In the United States, that movement probably started in earnest with the Powell Memorandum, but can trace its roots much further to psy-ops like the Red Scare and covert ops like COINTELPRO. Coincidentally, note the dates of when COINTELPRO was revealed and when the Powell Memorandum (“an excess of democracy”) was written/disclosed.

Get out from behind the keyboard (yep, I’m calling myself out on that one, too), get out and about in your community, talk to people, organize, unionize, seek out common ground with people, build a bigger table instead of bigger fences. We didn’t get into this shit overnight; we’re not getting out of it without decades of work and probably bloodshed. The faster we want the change, the more of our own individual blood we need to be willing to invest, while being careful to avoid the exact mistakes that always happen when people demolish regimes. And count on more COINTELPRO-like opposition at every turn. The oligarchy have lots of motivation and money to invest in keeping us divided.
