Although the reactionary comments are misleading, please be aware that this is a liberal instance. The goal is to allow good faith discussion so we can educate and learn from each other. We do not want this community to become an ideological echo chamber. Ultimately, the event (from ten years ago) being discussed in the comments has diminished relevance to the politics of today. But it is a good starting point for a discussion about media literacy, opportunism and tailism; so I think it is valuable. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
