First off, let’s just no longer use the term ‘electable’. Democrats clearly have no idea what’s electable.

The winning formula is not to go further right. It’s to tout affordability and mean it; However, you are correct in that the Democrats aren’t going to let anyone who actually cares about the cost of living within sniffing distance of the presidency.
