Peter Jackson made the Lord of the Rings movies. He omitted Tom Bombadil, which many LotR fans claim is a bad move, but aside from that, most people agree the movies are good.
For the soundtrack for the first one, they got Enya to do the theme song. Literally no one asked her to sing it in fucking Elvish. She took that upon herself as a personal challenge as she’s a language nerd and just figured it would fit and everyone pretty much agreed it was awesome. I mean if you’re not an Enya fan, hearing Enya sing the song, it’s like “oh that fits” and then she starts singing in Elvish and it’s like “of course she did that.”
But then she got thinking and she and her songwriter Roma Ryan got together and they made a language just for her. They are the only two Loxian speakers in the world. Okay, they made a language and she sings in it in five songs. That’s nice. But on top of that, they wrote this whole ass sci-fi back story for it. Most of which hasn’t been published, it’s only been implied (by them) and inferred (by fans). So it’s future Irish people who went to Mars, discovered stargates of some kind, and used them to travel to a distant land. They became the Loxians; today’s Irish are their ancestors, and they have four or five dialects (one for each element and maybe one other?) and Enya only uses the water dialect. So there are fire, earth, and air dialects of Loxian, and maybe one more, I forget… but no one’s ever heard them because Roma Ryan only created the one and that’s the one they use. The others exist in the same sense that the Loxian gates exist.
And it’s all because of Tolkien. Tolkien started all this shit. If it weren’t for Tolkien, we wouldn’t have Loxian.
It goes deeper.

And this is what Loxian sounds like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLaqf9ndSu8
