I tried looking into it but I did not find that much info. there are some Iranian hacking groups linked to the state or are state funded and 313 team seems to be linked to those. This is one of the better overview articles I found:

… attentionseeking, you know, for the cause? I dunno, honestly. Boggles the mind.

tbh it kinda feels like it’s completely unrelated to iran, maybe this attacker group is trying to defame(? idk the correct word) iran?

…[the group] has claimed responsibility for similar DDoS attacks on the likes of eBay’s Japan and US divisions, as well as BlueSky in just the past month alone.

Why the group is targeting London-based Canonical remains unclear and no reason was given via its Telegram channel. It is presumably because Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distros.

I suspected LLM scrappers when heating about the DDOS attack. Those are doing a continuous DDOS on many projects.

Fuck Ubuntu and their selling out. Canonical bitched out ages ago. Hope those Iran folks are okay though. What a mess.

I get not liking Canonical, but how does that justify a random Pro-Iran group DDoSing them? Did Canonical do something that specifically harmed Iranians?
