Not to operate more than one social media account

Not even a “tell us all your accounts so we can monitor them”. Its : “We’re too lazy and we don’t have enough time to monitor more than one account so make it easy for us please”

Looking at the UK one might feel a sense of calm and return to form but god damn do they take good aim at their own feet.

Why now, why ruin decent moves for stupid measures like this.

I might be ignorant, but these seem like fairly standard conditions? They basically boil down to you can’t run and you can’t start destroying potential evidence.

i wrote up a whole comment, but appealing to reason and emotion probably wont work if youre already ok with a man with a gun taking your phone if you suggest the Palestinian people are currently facing a genocide.

i hope you can think critically in the future as to what this means for the future of government authority, and evaluate how that will affect the peoples agency going further.

Like the other commenter said, this is bail. Meaning they’ve already been to jail and are awaiting trial. Yes, you have reduced rights. No it doesn’t matter what the offense was. This stuff sounds pretty standard. Is she supposed to get special privileges? If we want to talk about wither she was wrongfully arrested is a different conversation entirely. No context on the arrest/charge has been provided.

It is bail; it is in lieu of being in prison where you have none of those abilities anyway.

We can discuss whether the original arrest/prosecution was sensible (it probably wasn’t), but the bail conditions aren’t unreasonable for whatever version of ‘hate speech’ she’s charged with.

These sound like restrictions that would be handed down to Kevin Mitnick. Not someone who said something on the internet or whatever she did (sorry there’s so much in the world I can’t keep track of it all)

Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, 31, appeared at the Old Bailey earlier charged with four counts of inviting support for the proscribed group by posting comments online between 23 July and 31 December 2025.

It is alleged she wrote: “I don’t condemn Hamas. I don’t condemn October 7,” and “I condemn the existence of Israel” in a post on 23 July.

Aladwan, from Pilning near Bristol, is also accused of using threatening or abusive insulting words at a protest in London on 21 July, and stirring up racial hatred in written material on 19 November.
